Are you hitting the sales this weekend? Want some inspiration? I've collected together a few of my favourites from the New Look online sale to show the bargains I'd go for.
Monochrome Scratch Print Crop Top - was £12.99, now £5, also available in petite
Patterned crop tops like this are great for wearing with high waisted skater skirts, jeans and dungarees. I'm a big fan of the monochrome trend and I love how the scratch pattern gives the effect of a piece of chalk being scratched on a blackboard, giving it a textured effect. The long sleeves and fairly high neck make the top perfect for winter and to keep the look both casual by day and monochromatic, I would add a black snood to keep wrapped up warm as well as to soften the look.
Burgundy Aztec Print Scarf - was £12.99, now £6
At the costly price of £12.99, I would have definitely thought twice and scrolled right past this scarf without another look back, but at a much more reasonable price of £6, I am totally lusting over it! I'm still completely loving aztec print and I love how the colours are are alike, blending together subtly. The repetitive pattern gives it a nice structure and the soft texture shows just how cozy and warm it would be!
Silver Sequin Lace Cami Crop Top - was £14.99, now £7, also available in blue
Floral print turns gothic here, in this cami, as the silver lace and sequins against the black material appears metallic. I love the shaping of the hanky hem style as the cropped sides give it a daring attire. For a chic, yet glamorous style for the party season, I would team this with either a plain tube skirt or disco pants and a pair of silver court heels.
Pink Lace Back Jumper - was £24.99, now £12, image shows back view
Admittedly, I do have quite the obsession for jumpers, so there's no surprising me that I managed to pick one out. I do still have a huuge love for lace, so for me this combination of lace and knitwear works a treat! The soft pastel shade harmonizes beautifully against the soft curves in the lace pattern. I also love how the diamonds are knitted into the front of the jumper to give it some texture against the lace back. I'm pretty much addicted to wearing collars underneath jumpers, and with this one, I'd go for a cream choice to keep with the light colours.
Navy Animal Jacquard Bodycon Dress - was £17.99, now £7, also available in tall, petite, maternity
Still not bought your NYE dress yet? This number would be the perfect party piece. I love how the scoop neckline and cap sleeves keeps the dress not overly flamboyant, yet how the bodycon style is complimentary, feminine and sophisticated. Print wise, the blue background colour is dark enough to keep the usually extravagant animal print subtle. I would team this with a leather jacket and wedges for a chic and stylish look.
Beige Winged Croc Bag - was £34.99, now £18
Due to their spacious nature and comfortable hold on the shoulder, I find that satchels are perfect for a casual day out. With this particular one, the twist lock shows off its practicality and the croc panel detail contrasts nicely against the soft texture of the bag. I also like how the colour block is bold, as it makes the effect more subtle. The tassel adds a nice effect of detail to the bag.
What are you looking out for in the sales? How would you style these?
